#EarthDay 2021: announcing our scholarship competition finalists

Today, on Earth Day 2021, we are proud to announce the 11 finalists for our first Earth Day India Undergraduate Scholarship competition.

The University of Bristol believes in developing practical, interdisciplinary solutions that both improve how we live in our world and enable us to face the challenges arising from our interactions with the environment.

We want to encourage and empower young individuals with an interest in Environmental themes, by awarding two £3,000 scholarships – one for students who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree in Sciences – and one for students who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree in Life Sciences – at our prestigious university.

The 11 finalists are:

Logavarshini Palani – D. A. V. Public School
Manav Sanghvi – Aditya Birla World Academy
Moksh Patel – SVKM JV Parekh international school
Sandeep Kumar – PB Academic
Vaidika Jaiswal – Alpine Academy

India is of course not alone in facing many significant environmental challenges. Looking at this talented group of young students, we can be hopeful there will be change as we move towards living more sustainably and building a brighter future together.

Our thanks to every entrant, and congratulations to our young finalists for making it to this stage! The Faculties of Science and Life Science will select the two scholarship winners shortly.

University of Bristol Earth Day India Undergraduate Scholarship competition

We will be awarding two £3,000 annual scholarships, each towards an undergraduate degree at our Faculty.The competition is open to year 11 and year 12 students based in India and entrants must be studying at least one science subject.
